Ivanka Trump Used Personal Email Address For Federal Government Business

A White House ethics investigation found that “Ivanka Trump sent hundreds of emails last year to White House aides, Cabinet officials and her assistants using a personal account, many of them in violation of federal records rules” through much of 2017.  Many of these emails contained official government and White House business.

During his campaign, President Trump “attacked his Democratic challenger as untrustworthy and dubbed her ‘Crooked Hillary’ for using a personal email account as secretary of state.”

Jared Kushner’s lawyer also confirmed he had once used a private email server to conduct government business early in the Trump Administration’s term, but no misconduct was found.

The administration of President George H. W. Bush used a private email server owned by the Republican National Committee to conduct White House business for several years and had for a short time lost 22 million emails.
