10% Tariffs On Additional $200 Billion In Chinese Imports To U.S. Take Effect September 24 2018; 70% Of U.S. Exports To China Subject To New Tariffs In Response
On September 24, 2018, 10% tariffs will be levied on an additional $200 billion in Chinese products being imported to the United States. The Trump Administration announced 25% tariffs to be levied on $50 billion worth of Chinese products (around 1,300 different products) in April of 2018.
Discussions between the Chinese and U.S. governments have stalled with no plans to reconvene and continue negotiations.
