Average Employee Hourly Earnings Decreased 0.2% From July 2017 To July 2018, Decreased 0.4% For Production And Nonsupervisory Positions

According to data released by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) on August 10, 2018, average employee hourly earnings decreased 0.2% from July 2017 to July 2018.  This data takes into account inflation (cost of goods), which rose faster than wages.  In other words the value of dollars is decreasing faster than the increases (if any) in wages.

Average employee hourly earnings for nonsupervisory and production employees decreased 0.4% from July 2017 to July 2018.
