S&P 500 Stock Market Index Grew Average Of 23% Annually From January 2009 to January 2017 (Obama), Growing 9% Annually Since January 2017 (Trump)

The S&P (Standard and Poors) 500 index, which tracks the 500 largest companies by stock value on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) or NASDAQ, grew an average of 23% a year from January 20, 2009 to January 20, 2017, with a total growth of 182% over those 8 years.

The S&P 500 has grown 18% from January 20, 2017 to January 20, 2019, an average of 9% each year.
