Trump Made False Or Misleading Statements On 74 Of First 113 Days As President

The New York Times audited President Trump’s public statements from assuming office on January 20 2017 until June 21 2017 and found Trump “has said something untrue on at least 74 of 113 days” and “he said something untrue, in public, every day for the first 40 days of his presidency.”

Some of the statements documented by the New York Times include exaggerations or perhaps instances where Trump “wasn’t speaking literally.”  However, each of the statements identified includes appropriate context, and other fact checking organizations such as PolitiFact have corroborated the errors in Trump’s statements.
