Vice President Pence Claimed Being Gay Is A Choice And Prohibiting Gay Marriage Is Not Discrimination But Enforcement Of “God’s Idea”

In a speech in 2006, now Vice President Mike Pence “called being gay a choice and said keeping gays from marrying was not discrimination, but an enforcement of ‘God’s idea.'”

He also opposed the repeal of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, resisted Obama’s guidance for transgender inclusive bathrooms, and opposed the Employment non-Discrimination Act in the name of religious freedom.
