Alabama Republican Senate Candidate Roy Moore Accused Of Sexually Assaulting 8 Younger Women; Alabama GOP Remains Supportive Of Moore

In Women   Last Updated: December 14, 2017

Alabama Senate Republican Candidate Roy Moore was accused by 8 different women of sexual assault and other sexually inappropriate behavior.  Most of the women were much younger than Moore at the time of the alleged assaults (many were teenagers while Moore was in his 30’s).

The Alabama GOP has decided to stand behind Moore, despite calls from national level Republican leaders for him to drop out of the race.

National GOP leaders, the Republican National Committee, and President Trump resumed support for Moore after briefly backing away from the candidate.
